Virender Sehwag launches experiential cricket learning app – Cricuru


India’s star cricketer and fly-half Virender Sehwag has launched CRICURU, an experiential learning app aimed at redefining and revolutionizing the cricket coaching experience in the country.

CRICURU claims to be a pioneer in AI-based cricket coaching in India and offers personalized learning experience to its users. Each player’s program is developed personally by Virender Sehwag with Sanjay Bangar, former Indian player and batting coach of the Indian cricket team (2015-19).

As international cricket reaches new heights in terms of technological innovation, Sehwag believes there was a need for India to jump on the bandwagon and provide a similar experience for aspiring cricketers.

Founder Sehwag, says, “At CRICURU, our goal is to develop an ecosystem to democratize learning cricket in India and fill the existing gaps. Our program is meticulously designed to provide access to coaching experts from around the world to provide an uninterrupted coaching experience for aspiring cricketers at par with international cricketing standards.

CRICURU also gives parents the opportunity to become partners with their children as they strive to learn the skills required for a professional career in cricket, Sehwag added.

An AI-based mobile app, CRICURU is designed to help youngsters learn to play cricket through master classes from 30 hand-picked player-coaches from around the world like AB de Villiers, Brett Lee, Brian Lara , Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh, Jonty Rhodes.

With approximately four hours of curated video content with each coach, learning is assessed using custom AI-powered technology that objectively and continuously assesses performance to show progress.

With exclusive features such as coaching videos, AI/ML and Dial-A-Coach analysis, with an AI/ML-based cricket legends video bank and engaging simulations, CRICURU aims to create a affordable expert cricket coaching platform.

App co-founder Bangar says, “The vision behind CRICURU is to bring access to cricket coaching to people living all over the country, even in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities that are easily accessible from the comfort of your home. With the growing penetration of smartphones and the internet, this just makes it more accessible to aspiring enthusiasts. »

The app is available on iOS and Android devices. Each CRICURU class includes extensive pre-recorded video content and offers a combination of demonstrations and interviews where the coach shares their experience and learning with users on how they navigated their way to success, failure and fame.

Users can log on to subscribe, the subscription fee starts from Rs 299 for a duration of one year.
