PA’s Largest E-Learning Consortium Will Use StrongMind for Digital Curriculum

Pennsylvania’s largest K-12 online learning consortium, the Capital Area Online Learning Association, has chosen StrongMind to deliver a standards-aligned digital curriculum to the more than 10,000 students enrolled at CAOLA, said StrongMind in a press release.

Students enrolled in CAOLA have greater flexibility in their courses, course load and schedule, and can take classes only online or in person at a local school; students who attend school through CAOLA are considered “enrolled” in their local school district and can participate in sports and other school-sponsored extracurricular activities, according to the association’s website.

StrongMind will now offer a digital curriculum for CAOLA students, including STEM-focused courses and options for high school students to earn tech industry certifications before graduation, StrongMind said. Its courses are Digital Promise certified and the StrongMind platform includes comprehensive reports that track student progress, with personalized data dashboards for each stakeholder group: administrators, teachers, parents and students, the company said. .

Schools participating in CAOLA offering StrongMind classes will have the option of using their own teachers, Strongmind teachers, or a combination, according to the press release.
