MyGov, the citizen engagement platform of the Indian government, in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, has launched an innovation challenge for the creation of an Indian language learning app.
MyGov launched the Innovation Challenge to create an app that will allow individuals to learn simple sentences of any Indian language and gain working knowledge of a language.
Key parameters that will be examined will include ease of use, simplicity, graphical user interface, gamification features, user interface, user experience, and superior content, which make learning easy and fun. ‘an Indian language.

The innovation challenge is open to individuals, startups and Indian companies. MyGov envisions the app as multi-modular, with the ability to teach through writing, voice and video. The Innovation Challenge ends on May 27, 2021. After evaluation of the prototype submission, the top ten teams will be invited to make presentations and the top three will be selected by a jury.
The first three will receive funding of Rs 20, 10 and five lakhs to improve the applications. Solutions would be evaluated based on general parameters such as innovation, scalability, usability, interoperability, ease of deployment or deployment, and campaign.
